IMPORTANT: We are no longer using these forums - apply instead at HeavyUrbanResponseTeam.com!

You wanna be the very best, like no one ever was?

Welcome to the Heavy Urban Response Team (HURT) membership application process.  Please review list of rules and requirements below before proceeding.  Failure to follow these rules is grounds for removal from the clan, and then you'll just be another ex - always awkward to be around or talk about.  Nobody likes an ex. After you've finished, you may submit an application using the format below.  If you'd like to add anything to make yourself more appealing than you actually are, feel free.

RULES:

  1. Have a decent grasp on the English language.  (Preferably your first language)
  2. Be respectful toward your clan-mates.  Don't discriminate against or harass others for any reason including, but not limited to: competency, nationality, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation.  Failure to comply with these could result in immediate expulsion from the clan at any time during your membership whether you are new to the clan, or an old veteran.  Just because you feel something you may have said was not offensive, it doesn't mean that it shouldn't have been perceived that way.  You are responsible for what you say, be mindful of this.
  3. We do not tolerate drama.  ABSOLUTELY NO DRAMA INSIDE THE CLAN, We are all friends here and we ALL want to have fun.
  4. Don't hack. Or exploit.
  5. Try to stay active.  Life happens, of course.  If you foresee yourself taking an extended leave of absence, let an officer know to avoid being tagged as inactive and use the Leave of Absence thread to make it known on the forums.  Use Teamspeak just as much as clan chat to LFG.  Often during missions a player will miss messages from clan chat.  Also please check the forums regularly and pay attention to announcements ingame, on TS, and on the forums.  And don't forget to join us on Steam!
  6. Be mature.  Currently, the minimum age for acceptance into HURT is 16.
  7. Don't beg.  While other members will probably be willing to help you out, politely asking somebody for a favor is an entirely different thing from repeatedly spamming "can i has ____" in the clan or whisper channels.
  8. Download, install and sign up for a Teamspeak account. Be sure to set your profile name as the one you will use for your HURT member in-game. You can download Teamspeak from http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads. Once you are contacted in-game by a HURT-TEP Officer, they will give you the channel address.
  9. Have fun.  Remember at all times that you are PLAYING A VIDEO GAME.  APB can be rage inducing at times.  If you find yourself irate, take a Skyrim break.  Remind yourself that you don't suck by playing some CoD.  As a last resort, consider standing up and stretching, or even going outside for some fresh air.
  10. NOTE: If you are disbarred from the clan of your own will, or forcefully for any reason, we ask that you return your HURT uniforms, decals, and any pre-customized vehicles as they are the property of HURT. If you paid for any item (such as a vehicle or special clothing) make arrangements with the creator to simply have the HURT logos removed, and the vehicle (or other qualifying item) will be returned to you. Standard uniforms that you do not pay for are strictly the property of the HURT member who created the uniforms for you. Remember, these items cost us money to make, please remember that.

Copy and paste the following, and fill in the blanks (Answer ALL of the questions, failure to do so will disqualify you from the training program).  Create a new thread and post your answers under "Clan Applications", title the thread "___________'s Clan Application" (for example: "Indigum's Clan Application") and either track down an officer or wait for us to get back to you in-game.

NEW EVAL PROCEDURES!

Through trial and error, we have decided to change our evaluation procedures some.

Once you have submitted your application and it has passed review, you will need to contact an officer as we have done before.  You will have an initial verbal meeting with an officer over Teamspeak so we can make sure you know the rules.  If we feel you meet our standards thus far, you will begin a two week probationary period.  We may or may not run some missions with you at that point, but over the next two weeks we will(and you also need to ensure that you run with a couple officers in case we mess up and forget lol).  We will evaluate you primarily on how you get along with others during your two week probation.

- Initial Probation is 2 weeks
- Every Friday, officers will vote yea nay on probationaries that are at the end of the probation period.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HELP US KEEP TRACK OF YOU!  We we will have a thread on the forums here for you to use to post your status on.
- ANY 2 votes of NAY will result non-acceptance to the clan.
- ANY complaints during probationary period *will be immediately looked into* and if it is found that the individual on probation is at fault, then there will be an immediate removal.
- During your probationary period you will be issued a very basic HURT clan tag and uniform that you may wear if you choose to do so. The official Clan symbols/camo will be issued at the end of probation.  We would appreciate wearing the probationary uniform to promote the clan while you are out and about on missions, but it is not required and will not result in a negative way on your eval if you choose not to wear it.(THIS IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE YET, but will be very soon!)

WARNING SYSTEM

If you have an issue with another member, attempt to respectfully handle it between yourselves first.  If that doesn't work and the drama continues then submit a complaint.  People have to be given a couple chances, so don't expect a person to be immediately banned.  Depending on the offense of course.

When a member receives a complaint, if the complaint is deemed valid.
- MUST inform the offending member.
- MUST document that the warning has been issued & why.
- Either use your own discretion, or ask/post if unsure.
- Each officer can use their own discretion per basis to determine punishment as situation dictates.
